As I made known in my last journal entry, I'm not creating stock anymore. My life has become WAY too busy.
Here is a little update about what is going on with me and the best way to contact me. (I've still been getting messages and stuff on this account, so on the rare occasion that I do check it I have a bunch of messages from months ago) I feel bad not replying or replying so late to messages about using my stock for various things, so hopefully people will read this and be able to get responses sooner.
Lets start with what's most important to you guys.
How to Contact Me and Get a FAST (ish) response!
Let me preface this by saying that if you start spamming me or sending me weird stuff you'll be blocked on any/all of these sources. Don't waste my time with junk. This is for people who have questions about my stock and using it for various things, particularly commercial uses. (Don't be afraid to contact me about that though. You'll find that I'm pretty accommodating when it comes to my stock use.
I check my blogger almost every day. If you leave a comment or something I'll get it really fast.
Facebook- www.facebook.com/christina.leb…; I was hesitant to put this one up here, but it is the most reliable place to contact me. If you give me problems with this, you will be blocked. Art DeviantArt - lynnwest.deviantart.com/
I'm more active on my art account here, so if you message that account it is more likely I get your message sooner.
Tumblr - thefxlady.tumblr.com/
I have yet to post/start anything on this yet. To be honest, I don't really understand tumblr yet, but I do follow a couple blogs on it and I'll get messages from you if you send them through here. Maybe I'll get some opinions from you guys on tumblr. What do you think? Why is it better than a normal blog?
So, there you have it. Those places are much better ways to contact me than messaging this account if you want a fast response.
Now an Update on what I AM doing...
Since I'm obviously not creating stock. Like I said before, I've been going to school to get a degree in animation. An update on that is that I'm almost done with that degree. I only have 2 classes left, which I plan on finishing from afar this fall. I've been interning at Disney Interactive for the last 6 months, working on the FX for their newest game "Disney Infinity". If you don't know what that game is, go ahead and look it up. Its pretty huge and has been tons of fun to work on! We are finished with Disney Infinity and I have been doing a little bit for Infinity 2, which is already planned and has concept stuff and everything. (And we haven't even released the first game yet. haha.) Needless to say, Disney is really banking on Disney Infinity doing well when it is released.
I won't be staying at Disney for long though. I recently was offered an internship at ArenaNet, which is the company that created the Guild Wars games and Guild Wars 2. I accepted the offer and am going to be moving up to their company within the next couple weeks. I'm pretty excited for it.
My goal is to eventually work and live in Japan for a while (even though they pay the lowest for CG jobs), and to do that I think video games are the best option. So, that's what I'm pursuing. I do know some Japanese, but I think I'll really need to hire a tutor or take more classes to be able to speak, read and write on at least a business level before I am able to get a job over there. (although I did get a reply for Kojima Productions that they are reviewing my portfolio)
As far as my personal life goes, I'm engaged, and have been for almost 10 months. I'll be getting married in September. My fiance is also studying animation. He is currently interning at Blue Sky Animation Studios. I just went to visit him in New York after not seeing him for 1.5 months. Now, I won't be seeing him until the week of the wedding because I'll be moving up to Seattle before he gets back home.
Welp! That's the update...
Let me know if you have questions regarding stock, Disney, Arenanet, blah blah blah. Also, what do you guys think of Tumblr? Does it serve a different purpose than just a regular blog? What is the benefit of using it?
